Employer-Sponsored Visas

Types Of Employer-Sponsored Visas That You Can Apply For

To work in Australia, one will need to opt for an employer-sponsored visa. However, there are two types of visas or subclasses that we will be discussing here today. If you are an employer, this will help you choose the right one for your employee. So, if you are confused about the visa types, this is the discussion that you will need to follow. Also, you will need to book an appointment with a visa agent in Melbourne since he or she will simplify the application process. Anyway, let us now take a look at the two types of employer-sponsored visas that are present in the Australian immigration system.

Temporary Skill Shortage or TSS Visa

The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa is designed for Australian employers who wish to sponsor workers to meet the skill shortages. It comprises three streams namely, short-term, medium-term and labour agreement streams. The first one is for temporary positions or those that are seasonal in nature. The second one will enable you to sponsor a worker for up to four years and the third one is if you have a negotiated labour agreement with the Australian government. However, as an employer, you will need to make sure that the candidates are meeting the minimum requirements that include English speaking ability, core skills, etc.

Let us now look into the criteria for this visa. It includes:

  • The candidate(s) will need to have at least 2 years of work experience in the domain in which they wish to take up the job.
  • The candidate(s) will need to have the necessary knowledge and qualifications to work in the said domain.
  • As an employer, you will need to pay for the Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy.
  • The nominated work position has to be genuine.

To know more about these, you will need to contact an efficient Employer Sponsored Visa agent in Melbourne.

    Employer Nomination (Subclass 186)

Now, we are going to discuss Subclass 186 which is The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS). It is a permanent visa category where you as an employer can sponsor workers to work in Australia based on their qualifications and skills.

The three streams that are included under this category include Temporary Residence Transition Stream, Direct Entry Stream and Agreement Stream.

We will now take a look at the visa criteria. It includes:

  • The employee has to be under the age of 45 years and has to have 3 years of work experience
  • The position of nomination needs to be genuine
  • The candidate has to achieve the required score in English, except for the exempted category
  • The Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) levy applies if you are an employer

If you need to get assistance regarding the same, you will need to book an appointment with a visa agent in Melbourne.
